Após conquistar o título da Copa do Brasil sub-20, o Atlético começa um novo desafio nesta quarta-feira. O Galinho estreia no Campeonato Brasileiro sub-20 contra o São Paulo, às 15h desta quarta-feira, no estádio Laudo Natel, em Cotia, pela 1ª rodada.
A competição será disputada entre os dias 28 de junho e 27 de setembro, pelos 20 primeiros colocados do Ranking Nacional de Clubes da CBF: Atlético, Atlético-PR, Botafogo, Chapecoense, Corinthians, Coritiba, Cruzeiro, Figueirense, Flamengo, Fluminense, Grêmio, Goiás, Internacional, Palmeiras, Ponte Preta, Santos, São Paulo, Sport, Vasco e Vitória.
O Campeonato será disputado em quatro fases. Na primeira, os 20 clubes formarão quatro grupos de cinco clubes cada. As equipes se enfrentarão dentro do grupo, em turno único, e irão se classificar os dois primeiros colocados.
Na segunda fase, os clubes formarão dois grupos de quatro clubes cada. Os times também se enfrentarão em turno único, dentro do grupo, e duas equipes irão para as semifinais. Os classificados em cada um adas semifinais farão a grande final.
