Empurrado pela Massa, o Atlético foi pra cima e depois de tanta luta, conseguiu a virada com o atacante Luan, que marcará o seu primeiro gol no certame nacional, isso aos 46′ do segundo tempo.
Com a vitória, o Atlético chegou aos 23 pontos e continuou na vice-liderança. O Flamengo empatou com o Palmeiras e a diferença para o Galo que era de 6 pontos, caiu para 4.
