Mas se o atleticano espera um jogo tranquilo diante do Vozão, que ainda não venceu no campeonato, pode esperar um duelo difícil. Se voltarmos em um passado recente e lembrarmos como foram as últimas 3 vitórias do Alvinegro sobre o cearenses, saberemos que emoções vão acontecer.
Em 2018, o Atlético estava nas primeiras posições do Brasileirão e recebeu o lanterna Ceará no Independência. Em uma partida que parecia fácil, o Galo saiu perdendo no placar e contou um gol do artilheiro Róger Guedes e do atacante Luan, já no último minuto, para vencer de virada por 2 a 1.
Já no primeiro turno do Brasileirão do ano passado, o Atlético também saiu atrás do placar em partida disputada no Castelão, em Fortaleza. Nathan, chegou a empatar a partida pro Galo ainda no primeiro tempo e Jair, no último minuto de jogo, virou a partida e deu a vitória ao Galão da Massa.
No segundo turno, novamente o Ceará saiu na frente do placar. Em pênalti marcado de forma errônea pela arbitragem, o time cearense deixou um sentimento de aflição no Horto no primeiro tempo. No segundo tempo o Alvinegro foi pra cima e com gols de Otero e Luan, este aos 35′ da etapa final, virou o jogo no Independência.
Algumas certezas nós temos: o Ceará é um time encardido, mas o Galo não desiste nunca.
