“O torcedor tem o direito de manifestar da forma que lhe convier. Com faixa, com grito, cântico, palma, vaia. Tem todo o direito de protestar. Se alguns torcedores não gostam de mim e protestaram, eu respeito. A gente vai seguir trabalhando, vai seguir planejando para que o Atlético alcance um lugar mais alto na tabela, para chegar na Libertadores do ano que vem. Seguir em frente, trabalhando. Não muda nenhuma conviccção. Tenho experiência suficiente para saber o que a gente está fazendo. São alguns poucos torcedores, e eles têm o direito de manifestar, têm o direito de não gostar de mim. Protestando sem violência, eles têm liberdade”.
Sobre a retirada da faixa minutos depois do início da partida, André Figueiredo tratou de dizer que não foi a mando dele.
“Queria também deixar claro que não fui eu que mandei tirar a faixa. Eles têm o direito de protestar, e eu tenho o direito de continuar trabalhando”, disse.
