Com 46 pontos, o Atlético não corre mais risco de rebaixamento, e muito se deve aos pontos conquistados no primeiro turno do Brasileirão. Róger Guedes, que hoje não faz mais parte da equipe, foi o principal jogador do Galo até a parada da Copa.
Foram 9 gols, terminando como artilheiro, ao lado de Pedro do Fluminense. Róger Guedes estava emprestado ao Atlético, pelo Palmeiras, e foi vendido ao Shandong Luneng, da China, o mesmo time de Diego Tardelli.
