Com contrato até 2019 com o Atlético, o meia Dodô, de 24 anos, deverá seguir fora do Galo na próxima temporada. A que tudo indica, o jogador vai permanecer no Fortaleza, clube onde foi campeão da Série B neste ano.
Dodô foi considerado um dos principais destaques do Fortaleza na competição, figurando até em possíveis seleções do campeonato. Mas isso não foi o suficiente para o meia-atacante ganhar uma nova chance no Atlético.
Fora dos planos do técnico Levir Culpi, Dodô ainda vai permanecer como jogador do clube, a ideia é que ele tenha seu contrato renovado por mais duas temporadas e seja reemprestado ao Fortaleza em 2019.
Revelado nas categorias de base do Atlético, Dodô estreou no time profissional em 2013. Foram 47 jogos e seis gols marcados.
Depois de sair do Atlético em 2015, Dodô foi emprestado ao Figueirense, Chapecoense, Botafogo-SP e Fortaleza.
