Em partida válida pela 24ª rodada do Campeonato Brasileiro, o Alvinegro derrotou o time paranaense de virada por 3 a 1, no Horto e chegou a sua segunda vitória seguida.
O jogo foi muito difícil, o adversário veio com uma proposta de toque de bola que envolvia o Atlético. Mas com a força da Massa, o Galo não se abateu com a pressão do Furacão e conseguiu mais três pontos na tabela.
Com um gol contra de Maidana, o Atlético-PR saiu na frente do placar. O Galo empatou com Léo Silva. No segundo tempo, o adversário pressionou muito e o Atlético demorou a se reencontrar na partida.
Mas com a entrada de Elias, o jogo virou, literalmente. Após assistência de Luan, Elias bateu uma bomba e mandou no ângulo, virando o placar. No final, Ricardo Oliveira colocou um ponto final no jejum e marcou o terceiro. Final: Atlético 3 x 1 Furacão.
Com o triunfo, o Atlético sobe para 5º lugar com 41 pontos. Na próxima rodada, o Galo enfrenta o Cruzeiro, domingo, às 16h, no Mineirão.
