Com dois gols de Cazares e um de Ricardo Oliveira, o Galo venceu o Baeta por 3 a 1 e agora aguarda o término do mata-mata para conhecer o adversário na semifinal, que será disputada em dois jogos, com o Atlético levando vantagem do empate.
A vitória Alvinegra teve o maior público do Mineirão na temporada, com cerca de 47 mil torcedores no Gigante da Pampulha.
