Hoje encerro minha passagem de pouco mais de um ano pelo Atlético-MG. Tive meu início no clube como auxiliar-técnico a partir de setembro de 2017 e em fevereiro deste ano assumi o cargo de treinador da equipe. Foi um período incrível, de aprendizado e muitos desafios. Deixo o comando de cabeça erguida, com a certeza de que o papel de toda a comissão técnica foi desenvolvido da forma mais séria possível, mesmo com as baixas que tivemos no elenco durante o ano.
Agradeço a confiança de um clube como o Atlético e a oportunidade de dirigir o time durante 49 jogos, onde tivemos o ataque mais positivo do Brasileirão e mantivemos a equipe na zona de classificação à Libertadores ao longo de toda a competição. Muito obrigado à Massa Atleticana, que sempre esteve ao nosso lado, incentivando e jogando junto em todos os momentos!
Agradeço à diretoria e a todos os funcionários pelo apoio e dedicação. Um muito obrigado também aos atletas, com os quais construímos uma excelente relação no dia a dia e que demonstraram enorme comprometimento com o trabalho do início ao fim. Menciono aqui também a imprensa, que sempre cumpriu o seu papel e foi muito justa na avaliação de nosso trabalho, principalmente quando assumimos a equipe. Juntos construímos uma relação de respeito e saudável para todos os lados.
Levarei com enorme carinho esta experiência para o futuro e ficarei na torcida para que o clube alcance os objetivos traçados para esta temporada. Obrigado a todos mais uma vez. Um forte abraço!
